And on Saturday LeAnn Rimes was certainly in the mood to show it off.
Wearing a pink and red mis-matched bikini with a black vest on top, it is clear that the singer has been following a strict work out plan.
Enjoying a family beach holiday in Ventura, California, LeAnn was joined by husband Eddie Cibrian and his sons Mason, 10, and Jake, 7.
Talking about her body last year, LeAnn revealed: 'Now I’m secure about my body, although I’m like any other woman and have my moments of self doubt,'
'But it’s nice to have a husband who tells you you’re beautiful all the time. I’ll say to him, ‘I’ve gained a few pounds,’ and he’ll say, ‘Good!’'.
In 2011, LeAnn's fitness trainer Michael Jackson revealed that boxing had helped the singer cope with anxiety as well as achieving her incredible figure.
Jackson also revealed that LeAnn's natural food diet which contains no processed food also played a part.
Meanwhile, the family of four had everything needed for a great day be the seashore, namely their swimsuits a giant blanket, a ball and lots of snacks.
The group kicked off their day by exploring a rocky area of the beach which required them to scramble across lots of loose stones.
The country singer could not help but post a picture Eddie had taken of her as she tried to negotiate the rocks on Twitter.
Dubbing the image 'rock climbing,' the singer showed off her toned legs wearing just a knitted jumper over a bright red bikini, that the blonde accessorised with a red wooden beaded necklace.
After their rock climbing, LeAnn slipped on a pair of denim shorts and the whole family headed to grab some lunch from the local famous taco stand.
Of course a lot of families also had this idea so LeAnn and her boys found themselves in a long line.
While she waited the star mused about her lunch choice on social media saying: 'These fish tacos better be amazing! Line a mile long!! I was told they were the best fish tacos in town. #hopetheyareworththewait.'
Finally getting to the front of the queue, the family order lots of dishes and took their tasty treats back to the beack.
Quickly scoffing down their fish tacos the boys went for a swim while LeAnn and Eddie soaked in the sun and kept a watchful eye on Mason and Jake.
The country singer has often talked about her love of being a mother to the two boys - something which has caused significant friction with their real mother Brandi Glanville.
The star of Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills was still married to Eddie when he met and fell in love with LeAnn while on set.
Blogging about her role as stepmother LeAnn wrote: 'Step…Stepmother, Stepfather, Stepchildren — the word step can take on such a negative connotation to so many in our society.
'A family is a family. In my eyes, there’s no step about it.'
